WARRANTY

Limited Warranty

Automobile glass is warranted against defects in workmanship for as long as you own the vehicle in which the glass is installed, and so long as such defects are brought to our attention within 15 days of discovery of a defect. Truck sliding back glass is warranted against defects in workmanship for one year from the date of installation as shown on the invoice.

Exclusions

This warranty does not cover leaks, stress cracks, or related damage in connection with installations to vehicles having damage or rust on the pinch weld. In addition, damage not involving defective workmanship is expressly excluded from coverage under this warranty.

Windshield Repair

The repair process involves the injection of special adhesives into the damaged part of the glass. The degree of success of each repair is a function of several variables. The best results are obtained when the damage is recent, the point of impact is small, the cracks around the damaged area are small, and there is not moisture or other foreign matter in the damaged area

The purpose of the repair is to prevent or slow down the process of windshield further cracking and delay the need to replace the windshield in the immediate future. However, this is subject to many uncontrollable factors such as temperature and pressure in the windshield. Therefore, it is hard to guarantee the 100 percent effectiveness of the repair. In some cases, the attempt to repair a windshield can result in the chip or crack becoming larger, and we are not responsible for such damage.

If you are dissatisfied with the repair, or the windshield cracks further after repair, we will credit 50% the cost of repair toward replacement by Auto Safe Glass Co. If your insurance company paid for the repair, the insurance company will receive the credit.

INSURANCE QUESTIONS

Is this covered by my insurance?

Windshield replacement is covered by all of the automotive insurance companies. If you are replacing a windshield, your insurance company will ask you to pay your deductible and they will pay for the complete replacement. However, if you are repairing the windshield, many insurance companies cover windshield repair at 100 percent coverage with no deductible. To be certain, please refer to your insurance policy.

Is there any way I can save money on my deductible?

We might be able to give a discount off the deductible.

What should I do if I like my insurance to pay for the repair/replacement?

First,you should make a claim with your insurance company, and tell them that you would like Auto Safe Glass Co to do the job. Then, you provide us the insurance claim number, and we can start the job right away. Or, we can obtain the claim number for you if you provide us your and your insurance information, such as the name and phone number of your insurance company, your policy number. This is a very simple process. It only takes a few minutes.

Will filing an auto glass claim count towards my insurance policy?

In many cases, insurance companies will not count auto glass damage as a claim on your policy. To be certain, please refer to your policy or contact your agent and/or insurance provider to confirm your specific coverage.
